  • Responsibilities




    Completes oversight relating to the monthly general ledger close process, balance sheet and income statement analysis and presentation. Reviews, analyzes and verifies the accuracy of all general ledger and subsidiary ledger information.


    Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

    • Prepares and codes General Ledger journal entries for month-end closing in accordance with GAAP ensuring accurate and timely results. This includes analyzing data and making assumptions to calculate amounts for journal entries.
    • Analyzes financial statements monthly and reports to Assistant Controller explanations on variances
    • Prepares general ledger and bank account reconciliations monthly
    • Monitoring of receivables and working with internal or franchise office staff to effectively communicate on past due accounts
    • Assists with proper recording of A/P and A/R transactions and payments
    • Prepares and gathers required schedules and requests from outside tax and audit firms
    • Assists the Financial Planning & Analysis department with budgeting and forecasting as needed
    • Effectively communicates with internal management and staff at various levels.
    • Assists in physical inventory observation of spare parts annually or as deemed necessary
    • Researches accounting treatment related to complex accounting transactions in accordance with US GAAP and documenting as needed
    • Completes Ad hoc projects as assigned by Controller or Assistant Controller for both Corporate and Sub Company
    • Performs related work and additional duties as needed or required




    • Bachelor’s Degree in Business with Major in Accounting
    • Minimum 4 years combined Public accounting experience (in the area of Audit) and private industry accounting experience or minimum of 3.5 years Public accounting experience (in the area of Audit).
    • CPA exam candidate (CPA preferred but not required)


    Requirements and Qualifications:

    • Strong knowledge of US GAAP, internal controls and financial reporting
    • Detail oriented                                      
    • Strong Excel skills
    • High degree of concentration and accuracy
    • Strong organizational skills                        
    • Ability to make independent judgment  
    • Ability to communicate effectively with all levels of personnel
    • Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities
    • Ability to handle multiple priorities
    • Knowledge of SAP a plus
