Supports the facility including all office areas by applying knowledge and services to support operation and maintenance of production equipment. The logistics functions includes but are not limited to; procuring and expediting raw materials, services, parts and fixed assets. Develops market knowledge of products, researches and recommends viable alternative sources based on quality, lead time and costs.


Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  1. Reviews, evaluates, and monitors department purchase requisitions from order process through the receipt of goods. Verifies that all appropriate approval levels are met before order is processed.
  2. Expedites all orders to meet deadlines and communicates back to internal customers on any backorders. Ensures that customer expectations and requirements are met. Coordinates and resolves any issues related to invoicing, receiving and quality to meet customer expectations and requirements. Works with Purchasing to process any returns to vendors to receive proper credit.
  3. Manages all SAP additions/changes for material masters and any other items related to managing materials in the system.
  4. Ensures processes are running according to established procedures. Identifies variances to standards and established procedures and recommends actions accordingly.
  5. Performs cycle counts, stock KANBANS, performs inventories, maintains 6S in Parts Room and Mezzanine, all other duties assigned.
  6. Accomplishes duties using safe work practices and equipment while being responsible for reporting all injuries and observed unsafe conditions. Coaches fellow employees on safe work practices as appropriate and contributes to the overall success of the Company’s safety program.
  7. Performs related work and additional duties as needed or required.



Minimum two years general office experience required with one year in a purchasing/supply chain environment.


Requirements and Qualifications:


Excellent verbal and written communication skills and customer focus

Detail oriented

Ability to make independent judgment and problem solve

Working knowledge of general application skills in Windows office environment and SAP.

Strong organizational skills

Strong math skills

Knowledge of common equipment parts

Occasionally lift and/or move up to 40#
