Completes oversight relating to the monthly general ledger close process, balance sheet and income statement analysis and presentation. Reviews, analyzes and verifies the accuracy of all general ledger and subsidiary ledger information.


Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  1. Prepares and codes General Ledger journal entries for month-end closing in accordance with GAAP ensuring accurate and timely results.
  2. Analyzes financial statements on a monthly basis and reporting on variances.
  3. Prepares internal financial statements and other reporting functions.
  4. Monitors and enforces internal controls of Sub company.
  5. Prepares general ledger and bank account reconciliations monthly.
  6. Assists with proper recording and application of A/P and A/R transactions and payments.
  7. Prepares monthly invoices to send to parent Company for intercompany transactions.
  8. Prepares any required schedules or requests from parent company including annual schedules for the tax department and external audit firm.
  9. Updates and maintains fixed asset records.
  10. Assists the Financial Planning & Analysis department with budgeting and forecasting as needed.
  11. Effectively communicates with Corporate and internal management and staff at various levels.
  12. Assists in physical inventory observation of spare parts annually or as deemed necessary.
  13. Researches accounting treatment related to complex accounting transactions in accordance with US GAAP and documenting as needed.
  14. Completes Ad hoc projects as assigned by Controller or Assistant Controller for both Corporate and Sub Company.
  15. Performs related work and additional duties as needed or required.



Bachelor’s Degree in Business with Major in Accounting with a Minimum 5 years combined Public accounting experience in (the area of Audit) and private industry accounting experience. CPA exam candidate (CPA preferred but not required).


Requirements and Qualifications:

  • Strong knowledge of US GAAP, internal controls and financial reporting
  • Detail oriented                                      
  • Strong Excel skills
  • High degree of concentration and accuracy
  • Strong organizational skills                        
  • Ability to make independent judgment  
  • Ability to communicate effectively with all levels of personnel
  • Strong analytical and problem solving capabilities
  • Ability to handle multiple priorities
  • Knowledge of SAP and QuickBooks a plus
